Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I had the one on Monday then disappeared. It's just been a combination of "holy crap I have a lot of crap to do! crap!" and also trying to figure out an appropriate sort of release timing for the blog. Do I do one everyday? Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays? I don't know. We'll have to feel it out. In an ideal world you guys would get a post at least 4 times a week, but you know how I get on weekends. Pretty ridiculous.
Anyway. St. Paddy's was yesterday and I managed to get in a beer and some pub food at lunch with the awesome co-workers, but after I was so pooped (I was at Dundas square all afternoon doing ... "interviews") that I just lounged around the house after. I also went out and enjoyed the beautiful weather around Yonge and Lawrence, I wish I had a camera to show y'all the backyard I get to work with out here. Amazing. All in all a good day I would say.
Back to the blog for a bit, I'm hopefully going to get a good friend from high school draw the pictures before every blog post from now on. Just so, you know, there are no ... copyright issues. He's like in school for art, watches the raptors and is apretty consistent fan I ... think? So cross your fingers and maybe I'll get him to do a guest post to introduce himself much better than I just did.
Onto today's points.
The Good
Perfect weather, as the weather channel called on Monday, but it's been so good it deserves a second shout out. Cheap? Okay another point, Community has been spot on lately - amazing show - but more surprisingly? Parenthood, with that chick from Gilmore girls. The mom. Great show.
The Bad
I hear they are thinking about, or going forward, on setting up toll booths on the DVP and Gardiner. Ouch.
The Ugly
It would be hard to find something that tops Monday's video of five dudes thrusting in various directions but this one's pretty good. Lopez gets dessssstroyed!
Chris Bosh Looks like A Dinosaur!
So the raptors squeak one out yesterday. Great game. Very entertaining and I was even debating going to the ACC to go watch it. The sad part? Doesn't really mean anything anymore. The 'ability' and 'potential' to beat the best teams out there was never our problem. The problem is bringing that effort every night - especially against teams under .500 - not necessarily teams that we "should" beat (this is the NBA we're talking about) but again to be able to come out with a consistent effort agaisnt them.
Jay Triano's post game comments were spot on. We needed this win to "keep our guys motivated to keep on competing". Yes. Spot On.
Like my boy Tim Chrisholm brings up, the win is a small victory but if we can scrap one agaisnt the Thunder on Friday also, it would mean a lot more in terms of whether the momentum is starting to swing for the raptors again. Just in time for the playoffs it would seem.
Whew verbal diarrhea. That's what I get for waiting 3 days to do a post. See you soon hopefully.
The best post st. paddy's day snack is...COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE
CBForce out.
p.p.s. I've had to edit like a hundred typos and spelling mistakes in this post. jeez.
