On 'Monday's, Humping, and the Raptors

The thing about Mondays is yes you're back at work, but you never feel that crappy, because you're still refreshed from the weekend. I'm usually at work on time, upbeat - ready for anything. It's as the week goes by when you start to feel like stabbing yourself in the eye.

The Good:
The weather is getting warmer! I think its an average of double digits this week!

The Bad:
That weekend rain was so miserable I just couldn't bring myself to go do anything outside. Who wishes you could call a Re-do?

The Ugly:

I don't know how I found this, but it has 1.5 million views. Go figure.

Chris Bosh looks like a Velociraptor!

So the raptors lose one to the trailblazers last night bringing the grand total to 5 in a row. I think that's also the 9th loss in 10 games. Ouch. For those of you that follow my good buddy Mick at TheTorontoTurnover, you'll know how I feel about this team. It's a "pretty good", young-ish team, that's shown flashes of brilliance. (a la Dec-Feb). They're certainly in the middle of a funk, but I'm sure they'll be able to sling together a few wins before the season is through - probably finishing around 6th. I called the 5th place a few weeks ago, but that was because I was miss-informed on their series with the Bucks, which they have lost - meaning Milwaukee would have to lose a bunch of other games to concede that 5th spot to us (again to explain more clearly - it's out of our hands, we can't simply "beat" them to get their spot, they have to lose to other teams).

We'll probably still get into the playoffs, but be out in 5-6 games. Which is all fine and dandy I suppose and definitely better than last year. But reading between the lines, what's more concerning for Raptor's fans is Chris' attitude as of late. At the start of the season I predicted he would indeed stay with Toronto - he'd get the most money here, there's a comfort factor, he started his career here, our GM has publicly acknowledged he wants to win with Bosh, etc. But recently he's been more vocal and public about his feelings towards his team's level of play and current losing streak:

Chris Bosh Probably Wants Out

After reading that story, factor in that Chris is hardly ever the guy who complains about anything in front of the press, he's be infamously known as the type of leader who expresses concerns to other team mates behind closed doors. So for him now to publicly admit he's disappointed in his team's play and what's worse - to admit he doesn't know what to do to fix it - probably doesn't spell well for the Toronto Raptors future with their star player. But I digress, read into that whatever way you want...

Here's to hoping we get something good in a sign and trade. With the way the other raptors are playing, we'll definitely need all the help we can get.

"Mad Rabbit at the Tea Party: SPOOOOOON!"

CBForce - OUT
